more than 20 years he's been gone and locked away
almost 30 years they tried to break his love, his brain
after all these years the world wanted him back to play
after all these tears he came out and he refused to hate

it's just some noise, they made in some stupid church
the popes there didn't like it much neither did their president
they were sent to some gulag I can tell you – real bad stuff
but they came out alive and still with hope and still with love

don't think you can control them, don't even try
don't think that you can break them

it's just some draperies they wanted to hang on a metal wall
somewhere up north in the ocean to tell the world what's going wrong
but someone didn't like it and this someone sent the army out
to arrest them with some gunfire and accused them of piracy

don't think you can control them, don't even try
don't think that you can break them
at the end you will win anyway

and the world – wasted
