The Island

that summer was hot – as you know
and we were all sweating here like crazy
every year is getting hotter – as you know
and I’m just wondering where this is all going to
i think we’re gonna make it boil – that little planet
yeah, let’s boil it – cool!

ref.
a summer hot and sunny. storms and floods – who cares
burning woods ain’t funny. others pay the fares

people enjoy sitting in the lakes,
in the rivers and in the oceans
forests are burning and some people start to believe
that the climate might be a changing one
the oceans are getting warmer – as you know
and water that is getting warmer expands
will it expand downward? will it expand upward?
Where do you believe will it expand to?

ref.
a summer hot and sunny. we all can swim so well.
burning woods ain’t funny. others burn in hell.
i don’t want to see it end – so i’d better close my eyes

some people think that we have nothing to do with that
our behaviour does not have to be changed
they say we should not stop making our profit
they say we should not stop having our fun
they say let’s make the fast money out of it
yeah, get the fat money out of destruction.

ref.
a summer hot and sunny. we are all rich and wealthy
fitnessclubs are funny. they keep us nice and healthy.
i don’t want to see it end – so i’d better close my eyes
i don’t want to see it end – so i’d better close my eyes

a summer hot and funny. maybe we’re all blind
i don’t want to see it end – so i’d better close my eyes
i don’t want to see it end – so i’d better close my eyes
i don’t want to see it end –
but I have so much fun in doing all those things I’m doing.
why should I stop it? an all the others don’t, so fucking what?
